On Tuesday June 11th at 9pm in the Abbey Tavern, Howth Singing Circle is delighted to bring you special guests, from the Appalachian tradition of Rural Retreat, Virginia: Elizabeth LaPrelle and her mother Sandy Newlin
Elizabeth LaPrelle is known for her magnificent voice, her respect for the old Appalachian songs, and her authentic mountain sound and style.
This is a rare opportunity to experience an evening of authentic Appalachian folk singing from Elizabeth and her mother Sandy.

Also – as part of the SIPTU MayFest, the Howth Singing Circle have, at Ethel Buckley’s request, organised a Singing & Walking Tour commencing at Liberty Hall at 10.30 sharp and concluding at the Larkin Monument in O’Connell Street before retiring to the Pipers Corner.

We have three events on the Burns weekend
– Saturday, 2 February, 11.30-1 a Workshop with Shona Donaldson Anderson, 10 euro – those attending Workshop and Burns Nicht will sing the song(s) learned at the Workshop on the night!
