The Howth Singing Circle sincerely thanks all those who supported our Burns Nicht events last weekend. Special thanks to Ricahrd Tobin & staff at the Abbey Tavern; Peter & Gabriel at the Sea Angling Club; John Kelly, Larry Egan and Mick Mullen our Resident Band; Pipe Major Noel Kelly & St Lawrence Howth Pipe Band; our Special Guests Dàimh; and those who travelled long distances – John & Shelia Bentham (Loughborough), Morag Dunbar (Edinburgh) and Janet Weatherston (Dalkeith); Kathy Hobkirk (Hawick); Billy Jolly (Orkney); Dave McCracken (Northumbria); and many more; Chris Boland for sound; Finola Young for her donation of raffle prizes; all our singers and reciters; our hosts Fergus Russell, Niamh Parsons & Gerry O’Connor; our Committee for their serious hard work; and most of all our enthusiastic and generous audiences who made such super atmospheres on both days.

Burns Nicht 2016 is on Saturday, 23 January in the Abbey Tavern from 8pm with Special Guests Daimh and the St Lawrence Howth Pipe Band.

Tickets are twenty euro and booking is essential.

On Sunday 24 January, from 3-6, we have the Fare Thee Weel Session in the Angling Club.
