MAY 1ST IN THE ANGLING CLUB

Please note that the next monthly HSC session will be back in

the Angling Club on Thursday, 1 May from 9pm
with Diarmuid Ó Cathasaigh on the theme of

The Merry Month of May.

Our participation in the Sutton Methodist Church Singathon helped raise just
over €4,000 for St Francis Hospice, Raheny.  Our thanks to Ian Maxwell and
the organisers for inviting us to take part; Ann Riordan and Niamh Parsons
for organising and leading our involvement; and to all singers and listeners
who attended, especially our Scottish visitors, Matt Milne who piped us in

and out, Shona Donaldson who sang beautifully, and Paul Anderson and
Alistair MacDougall who played so well.

Our Singer in Residence Ruth Clinton has made contact with Howth National
School to work with one of the classes there and will host our June session.

Finally, to all who rode on The Fiddle Bus – sincere thanks with especial
thanks to Ann Riordan, Liam O’Connor and John Kelly for their organisation;
Beck’s Dowling’s, Séamus Ennis Centre and O’Connell’s of Skryne for hosting us;

and O’Connor’s Coaches, Howth for the bus. It was a wonderful day
and one that we would like to hear from you about
– so any comments on any HSC activities, please let us have your views.
